Alcatel OneTouch Premiere GPS on Shared Data
I found out yesterday that if you put an Alcatel OneTouch Premiere on a Shared Data plan, the Telenav GPS will not work. For whatever reason, USCC has not updated the plan requirements, so the customer would still need either the Premium Messaging data package or any package that allows for Your Navigator Deluxe. For customers that are on shared data, you can download the Amazon App Store by going to the Browser, selecting the "Amazon" link from the default home page, and then clicking on the App Store download link on the following page. Once this is installed, customers can select one of several free GPS apps, MapQuest probably being the best compatible one.

This is great information for everybody to know, but to take it a step farther, this applies to all phones on a shared data plan. Your Navigator Deluxe is not provisioned to work on these plans. For those customers who are still using Your Navigator Deluxe, please direct them towards Google Maps. In my opinion, this is still the best turn by turn navigation application for Android or iPhone.
